Cataract and the NICE Guidelines
Cataract surgery is now the most common of any operation performed in the UK, with more than 300,000 procedures carried out each year. In October 2017, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence published new guidance on the management of cataracts in adults. In light of this, we examine what it will mean for NHS waiting lists and how we can best inform and manage our patients.
